Our 'Wine & Dine' tour is designed for people who really want to discover why this region is so famous for its premium wine, local produce and stunning landscapes. As knowledgable wine lovers ourselves, this exclusive itinerary has been curated to not only showcase the breadth of premium wines that the region offers, but also to highlight smaller producers that fly under the radar alongside the icons.

A private local tour guide and full transport is included, with door-to-door pick up at your Perth accommodation (or on your arrival at Perth Airport). At the time of booking you will have the opportunity to provide information that will assist us in further tailoring the itinerary to suit your taste.

ITINERARY

Day One:

Departing your Perth City accommodation at approximately 7.30am, head south to the Margaret River wine region to visit a range of award-winning wineries that will not only include some of the icons of the region, but also some of the smaller hidden gems that quietly go about making great wine. On day one, visit four premium wineries for leisurely guided tastings showcase a variety of styles, producers and winemakers to give you a real taste of what this beautiful region has to offer; usually a selection from Domaine Naturaliste, Woodlands Wines, Marq Wines, Windows Estate, Amelia Park and Passel Estate.

Enjoy an included cheese and charcuterie platter for lunch, the perfect accompaniment to the wines you will be tasting throughout the day. 

Finish the day with an artisanal wine and chocolate pairing experience, with handmade chocolates from Margaret River’s premier chocolatier. The evening is then yours to enjoy at leisure, depending on your choice of accommodation, relax with a leisurely dinner and drinks in town or take in the tranquility of the bush.

Day Two:

Start the morning with a local coffee and some sightseeing along the rugged South West coastline. Visit two wineries in the southern Margaret River area for wine tastings this morning - usually a selection from Brown Hill Estate, Stella Bella, McHenry Honen or Leeuwin Estate, then continue on to the iconic Vasse Felix Estate. Whilst here, you can also take in the museum cellar and art gallery before your guided wine tasting.

After your tasting, continue on to the Vasse Felix Restaurant where you will have free time for a winery lunch. Regularly ranked as one of Australia’s Top 100 restaurants, choose from their award-winning a la carte menu created from local, seasonal produce or indulge in the Chef's tasting menu to sample the best of what they do. Lunch is at own expense on the day. Casual lunch options are also available - if this is your preference please advise when booking. 

For those wanting to pick up some local goodies to take home, we'll make a stop to taste and purchase Olive Oils, jams, relishes, truffle products and much more. From there, we start making our way back to hotel in Perth, with an optional photo stop at the Busselton Jetty.

Return back to your Perth City accommodation at approximately 6pm.

What's NOT Included?

One of the distinct advantages of a private tour is having the freedom to do it 'your way' and at your own pace. For this reason, we leave some elements for you to choose for yourself, if you wish to;

• Accommodation is not included in the tour pricing. When booking, you can choose to request a quote from us to package accommodation into your tour. Our accommodation provider is Margarets in Town, and is generally $190 - $270 per room / per night depending on the dates of your stay (off peak/peak). We choose this accommodation because of its central location and proximity to restaurants, cafés, supermarket etc but we are also happy to provide other recommendations.
• Lunch at Vasse Felix is flexible: when booking you can choose to add a three-course lunch or tasting menu into your tour, or you can dine a la carte on the day. If you prefer more casual meals, there is also a selection to swap this when booking.
• Breakfast and dinner are both at your leisure and not included in the tour pricing. If staying in Margaret River town, you have lots of great local cafés, quality restaurants and bars to choose from (we are happy to provide local recommendations!).

Payment

20% payment is required at the time of booking, with the balance required 14 days before the tour. For bookings made less than 14 days prior to the start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Important note: If you are connecting to a flight, cruise departure, or the Indian Pacific train, we cannot guarantee the exact arrival times as this is dependant on traffic conditions. Please ensure you allow adequate time and advise us when booking if your arrival back in Perth at the end of the tour is time-sensitive. We are not liable for any failure by you to make connection with any other service or carrier.
