Uncover the best wines that the Swan Valley has to offer on an Up Close and Local wine adventure. Our guaranteed small groups (max. 11 people) mean that we have access to wineries that won't accommodate the big tour buses - so you get away from the crowds and off the regular beaten tourist path to receive a more memorable and intimate and one-on-one tasting experience.

On this half day wine tour in the Swan Valley, we visit wineries that are all family owned, and have been hand-picked by us for their quality and historic contribution to the region (and their amazing wine, of course). The wineries we select can change daily to ensure that you get the best possible experience on each day, and at each winery. We take the time to discuss the wines - sometimes with the winemaker themselves – so you can get to know the locals and learn about the Swan Valley's history as Australia's second oldest wine growing region.

All wine tastings are included in your tour, including reserve and award winning wines, and you will have the chance to sample well over 30 wines - everything from a Verdelho to a Durif to a Muscat. Most of the wines you will try are produced small batch, so the only place you can find them is at the cellar door.

The afternoon is set at a relaxed pace so that we have plenty of time for questions and discussion, and you will also enjoy a delicious afternoon cheese platter to compliment your wine tasting at one of the wineries.

This is not a drop-off service - our wine tours are hosted by passionate 'wine guides' that have an internationally recognised WSET wine education accreditation, and know the Swan Valley inside out. They are on hand throughout the day to give you as much or as little information as you would like about the history of the region, it's wineries, varietals and the wines.

We start the day with a tasting paddle of five signature ciders at a craft cider house while enjoying views over the apple orchards; we then visit two fantastic wineries for extensive wine tastings (sampling some rare and hard-to-find varietals), explore like one of the locals with a walk through the vineyard and orchard, where you are invited to taste the most delicious seasonal fruit straight off the trees – making this a real farm to glass experience.

This is all thirsty work, so after some wine tastings, relax with a gourmet platter lunch with a selection of cheeses, meats, antipasto and some Italian specialties in a fabulous boutique winery setting - again with those amazing views!

This is a small group guided walking tour covering approx 1.2km at a very leisurely pace, stopping in at roughly 5 venues along the way for food and/or drink tastings. All of your food tastings are included in the tour (equivalent to a full meal), so there's nothing you need to bring except your appetite and your walking shoes.

Meeting point:
